This hole rewards only the best of shots requiring distance, control and accuracy.  Longer hitters will find the left side of the fairway preferable off the tee.  The kidney shaped green has a large pond in front, 2 bunkers and out of bounds just over the back.  These challenges have earned number 16 respect in the signature hole discussion.
